Mining (extracting) information from conceptual massing family
A divided surface in conceptual massing environment will show its area in its instance properties. Is there a way to get access to that information in the project enviornment once you load the mass family in a project?
It will be great if this information can be scheduled in a project. Attachment 93715

I've linked to this add-in a number of times, but here goes again:

You should be able to create a shared parameter called "Surface Area" in your family, then using the add-in, migrate the Divided Surface Area value to your shared "Surface Area" value.

damon.sidel,
Thank you very much for your response. I can see this app being very helpful in a lot of sitiuations. So thank you very much for reminding me about it.
However, in this specific situation, it is not very useful. Maybe I am missing something, and maybe you can point me in the right directions - but the 'Divided Surface Area' parameter that needs to be migrated is not available in the dropdown list of available paramters. What am I doing wrong? / any other work around of this issue?
Thank you very much for your help.Attachment 93720
Re: Mining (extracting) information from conceptual massing family
I haven't tested it with conceptual masses, so you may be correct. You could try doing a roof/floor/wall by face in your project and see if the plugin recognizes the area parameter of the roof/floor/wall.
