I misplaced my elevation markers
I started a new project and as always the elevation markers are visible. But then I linked a dwg file, and that got positioned so far away that now I can't find my markers anymore  And using "zoom to fit" apparently doesn't include the markers. Any ideas for this quite basic issue?
Re: I misplaced my elevation markers
A few assumptions...assuming you are using the origin of the .dwg as your project base point and can't place the .dwg manually, center to center - and assuming you have not actually worked on your elevations, you *could* delete those elevations from the project browser and replace them where you need them. Another option would be to right-click on the elevation name in the project browser, and click "Find Referring Views". You should be able to select a plan that shows the location of the elevation markers.
Re: I misplaced my elevation markers
Your elevations will be around the invisible model origin so create a Revit model or a dwg file with something at 0,0,0 and link it origin to origin. I have a default file with concentric circles to help with this sort of thing.
