Alignment Labeling - C/L Grade and Distance
Hi folks,
Wondering if anyone can help me set up a label to show C/L road grade and distance between PVI's?
I've attached a picture of how we typically display this information on an overall roads plan. Looks simple right?
The best I was able to come with was to extract a feature line (at C/L) from the corridor, then label that with 'distance and grade'. Trouble with that is when I create the feature line, it is created as multiple segments, not one segment from PVI to PVI, so the length is all wrong.

These are the only properties from a profile that you can add to an alignment label via a reference component. http://screencast.com/t/ZTQxNDhhM If you can't display it using these values, then I don't know of a way to do it. If you can program via .net or .vba, then I'm sure it can be done.

Take a look at labeling Profile Geometry Points with the Station type labels. Use the <[Distance to Next PVI(Uft|P3|RN|AP|Sn|OF)]> <[Grade Out(FP|P2|RN|AP|Sn|OF)]> or Grade In depending on how you want to label it. http://screencast.com/t/NDVhZmQxY

Once again I stand corrected. That's what I like about these discussion groups, I'm always learning new things!
