Tapered plywood web joist?
I am trying to modify the plywood web joist family to create a tapered version.
Is this possible? Are tapered beams possible?
TrusJoist (and perhaps others) manufactures such a joist for roofs. The bottom is level and the top slopes.
Thanks for any help.
Mike
RE: Tapered plywood web joist?
This is certainly possible... you could probably make a beam family that allows you to draw it like the other beams in the Revit library.
RE: Tapered plywood web joist?
Mike, this is possible! open the family and add height parameters to the end of the joist and then you will be able to control the tapper

Thank you Wes & Scott for your replies.
I tried doing what you suggest, Scott, and I got an error message saying "Dimension overconstrains the Family". I noticed that when I select the top member that the bottom one is selected too. The web stays unselected.
