Default underlay showing RCP when oriented to plan

One our project is having an issue with underlays. When the level below is underlayed to the current level, it shows the RCP even though the Underlay Orientation is set to Plan. I've checked the view range on the current level and it is okay and I checked the view range on the level that is being underlayed both in plan and RCP. The RCP was all screwed up but after fixing it, nothing changed.... it still shows RCP elements.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

    Thanks

Underlays dont work by View Ranges, as they arent "views" that are underlayed, but "levels"... If that makes any sense. Can you cut a section with all the levels turned on and snap an image? Itll be easier to troubleshoot then...

Yeah that does make sense and I do realize that it's based on levels but I thought maybe the view range in that level had some effect.

Here's a section cut in that area of the building. The previous image was of "Level 1" and had "Level 0" underlayed.

    Thanks for the help.

Can you grab the view range settings for that Floor plan from the first image too?

Hmm... Strange. Are you sure thats the underlay acting that way and not a rougue CAD import or file reference? Maybe a file link?

Im wondering, because you have room tags in your underlay, which makes me think its another view, or another object, but not the underlay itself...

I am sure it's an underlay because when I switch it to "none" it goes away. What's also odd is that when I change the Underlay Orientation to Reflected Ceiling Plan, all the Reflected Ceiling Plan objects (lights, soffits, ACTs, etc) go away.

You are right about the room tags. I unloaded all the links and the room tags went away but the other elements (lights, ceiling stuff) are still there.

    I'm confused....

Did anyone ever figure this problem out? I currently have the same problem. On the floor plans when I underlay the second floor and it displays the roof plan. I figure that I am just missing some setting somewhere, but maybe the file is just corrupt.

    Thanks,

    jr.
