trim polyline with an excel table

Let's see if anybody can help me. I must trim a polyline into several pieces, depending on the distance from the start. I have to trim it in 200 pieces.
These pieces are in a excel file, and the question is: What is the fastest way to do it?

Welcome to AUGI & congrats on your 1st post. Could we have some extra info? E.g. the format of the excel file, does the new segments differ in length, does trimming involve removing every 2nd piece, etc.?

I'm leaning towards an answer using LISP. But if you can change the excel format somewhat you may even be able to save it to a SCR file and then simply run it. It all depends on how much info is in the XLS, and what actually needs to happen.
