    Unhappy Mouse control

I just got a new Logitech V220 wireless optical mouse. I downloaded the Logitech Set-Point software for Windows XP 32 bit and set the mouse to run quicker then it did initially. The problem is the center (wheel) button. On the old wired mouse the center button in AutoCAD was for panning. I can not get this new mouse to do that. Rolling the wheel scroll in and out but the pan function is not working at all. I use that pan constantly.
    HELP!

    Two things to check -

First, in SetPoint, make sure the middle button is set for 'Middle Button' in the 'Select Task' column.

Second, in AutoCAD, set the MBUTTONPAN variable to 1.

If you aren't sure how to do that, paste this at the command line, and hit enter:

    Code:
    (setvar 'mbuttonpan 1)
    Hope this helps!

Most Logitech mice use a tilt-wheel switch, I find until you get used to using it you end up triggering the tilt-switches more than the middle switch. Check the SetPoint options, try turning off the tilt-switches for a while and make sure the middle button is set as exactly that. Also set up an application specific profile for AutoCAD.
