    Lightbulb Roof sweeps-curved roofs-roof radius

I think that a roof sweep should be added to the roof slab styles. I am talking about curved roofs. I know I can make a radius with a mass element, convert it to a roof slab, ..... but that is it. There are no other options when this is done other than building a new mass element. Here is how I think it would work, first it would have its own tool button. After selecting the curved roof tool, you will set up the radius, base height, etc..... This would also allow for adding edge profiles, thickness, components, different materials. after you have made your selections draw the curved roof as you would a normal roof slab. Just an Idea, I know I would definately use it.

Also - placing structural elements on this roof plane is currently not easily handled by revit!
refer to this link for a work-around that I posted for purlins on a curved roof.

    I am not sure I get a problem )):
anyway)): just for any case : one can create roof object
with curved edges since adt-1 . you can draw
polyline with arcs or arc wall or both and convert them to roof,
    see example

There is a solution that has been posted before which is using an edge style with the profile of which you speak to imitate the round roof. The slab itself occupiers only a small section on the peak of the roof with 2 curved edge styles each side to make a sem-circle roof.

You can also do this with the roof object and I've learnt a few tricks to make it a lot easier than it first appears although edge styles would be a separate application (wall or structural member style).
I will hopefully get a chance to add it to the roof series of blogs I have done.

The original creator says it could do a lot more with some extra work as he has done in his roof tool built for another arch Modeller program.
Lovely work you have on your site btw.
