    Default Dynamic Profile Labels

    1) I have several Curb profile lines that are nice and labelled with the dynamic grades, grade breaks, and major station labels. These are wonderful and don't want to have to stop using them however, is there a way to "lock" them so they will not come back when I delete a specific entity.

Example: I am designing the curb returns by hand and do not want to show the grades or other annotation for the additional x feet from ECR to BCR. So I hold control+select the entity then delete it off the line. Perfect. When I then make ANY change to the profile or move the profile view, ALL of the manually deleted entities pop back up. Is there any way to lock, or permanently delete an entity or anything creative aside from using 'profile labels' that really isn't an option as you have to go through the entire profile and modify each label separately.

    2) I have 5 profile lines in the drawing I am working in at the moment and for whatever reason when I click on my flowline profiles (the most recent addition to my drawing) none of the dynamic labels will show up after selecting alignment -> edit labels -> adding major/minor stations/grades, etc. nothing will show up. The layer is not frozen and the other profiles worked fine. There is no differenence; that I can see anyways.

    Please see attachments.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Very strange just to answer my own question for #2 above - For some reason right clicking the profile and selecting edit labels to add label sets did not work. Though I just now and verified several times that when going to the profile view properties then adding labels that way worked perfectly. No idea why the other decided to stop working, but there is the work around...

Now if someone can give me a hand figuring out #1 I will be set, thanks guys.

For #1, you can simply use a station range for the labels. Add the profile geometry labels and have them go from station A to station B and then add them again and have them go from station C to station D.

Wow no idea why I didn't think of that! Thanks again for your help, Brian.
