Cool Match Properties Icon/Cursor Won't Go Away

After using the match properties tool the paintbrush icon that replaces the cursor for the duration of the command does not return to the default cursor. The default cursor will come back eventually but numerous other editing operations occur before this happens. Anyone know of a setting that allows this to happen (or not happen)?

I see lots of thread viewings, surprised with dearth of responses.
Annoying when it happens, but not exactly life threatening.

It would seem that this is a very unique problem. I've never seen it before. Perhaps the best thing to do is put in a tech support request. If they can't solve it, they can submit a bug report. Or you can do it here.

Somebody told me that if you just click the match properties tool button and then escape, the icon goes away. I will have to try that next time.
