Default detail component in nested profile family

I have a sweep in a door family that uses a profile family. In the profile family, I have a detail component. I can't get the detail component to show in the sweep in my door family for some reason.

Still trying to solve this... is putting the detail component in the family outside of the sweep the only way to do it?

I believe so. That is how I've accplished this in the past. You can, if the family is created correctly, lock it to the same reference planes as the sweep path is, and they'll always be in position.

    Thanks Scott.

That's weak. If you cannot display the detail component within the profile, then why even have it as an option? I understand that it works when you load a profile family straight into the project... but loading profiles into a family is much more common.

I am referring to loading the detail component directly into the door family, and locking it to the reference planes used to create the path within the door family. Then the detail component is traveling with the family, just not at the additional level deeper within the profile.
