Default can you create plans in revit? basic basic

Hi guys, im thinking of going from cad to revit. Basically all I do in cad is create presentation plans and elevations with black varying thickness lines on a white background. I assume this can be done in a high quality manner in revit like cad, and can you also copy it into illustrator to put it into high quality like cad?
    cheers

    Revit is not like autocad.

You can PRODUCE high quality plans BUT what you "model" is 3D not lines like autocad.

Check the free videos from www.dgcad.com to see now it fares.

PS. If you are used to drawing sections and plans... Revit is NOTHING like autocad. Rather plans and sections are just views of your entire model. You make everything in 3D... revit does the 2D for you.

ok, but I take it you can still come out with some high quality presentation plans like the ones below:

    Comical-

You can achieve those looks very easily. You can also make presentation plans that look much more refined, with much more graphical augmentation, but the caveat is this: Dont think youre going to jump in on day one and be able to "masterfully control" what your plans look like, becasue you wont.

What th4ese guys are explaining to you is that those *presentation plans* are part of a bigger sum of all parts, and that altering the look and feel of those plans is knowing how to manipulate that sum of all parts. Is it easy? Absolutely. Is it fast? Incredbily. Will you be able to do it on day one and achieve what youre after? Not a chance...

You don't even need Illustrator to do plans like your example. Revit will do it just fine.

You can export out to Illustrator without issue. I usually print to PDF for this.
