How (or can) I open a .adsk file that was exported from Revit in Inventor 2010?
The best way is to export the Revit Model as a SAT file and then take this into AutoCAD. If you want Inventor to treat this as one component the best thing to do is UNION the solids together and then open this in Inventor. The ADSK file is only designed for Inventor to Revit or AutoCAD MEP.
I agree with Lawrence on the *.sat file method. There isn't another way I know of.
Rob Cohee has a pretty good video on the basic workflow HERE.
It doesn't really talk about anything Lawrence didn't already mention, but it's a good overview of how the two can talk.
