2009 allows better concrete joining so we switched to using the Concrete-Retangular-Beam family that comes OTB. We added some parameters for scheduling and a subcategory to turn off just the grade beams in a view.

In previous verisons we had been using walls as grade beams with type marks

I was using the wall method but like the beam method you talk about and will have to try it out.

Can you walk me through this a bit more. I can't seem to find the "Concrete-Rectangular-Beam" family that you are referring to.
