i would like to have profile views at multiple scales in one drawing.
example tab1 would have contract drawings at 60 scale
tab 2 would have construction drawings at 40 scale
is this possible?

Yes. Because in Model Space you have your profile drawn 1:1. Now if you're wanting different Vertical exageration t don't think so.
but the title information is retrived from what model space is set as, as well as the annotioan value for any labels on the scale
they are independent of viewport scale.
this is causing my issues
Your annotation an viewport scale should be the same. If you have a piece of text calling out the scale of your profile than that is in the style for the profile view.
heres an example
i have 2 profile views 1@ 40, 1 @ 60
i go into model space to work on somehting else, i set the annotation scale at lets say 10
i go to the tab with my 40scale vport, its saying its at 1=10 horiz, the vport is at 40, both annnotation and scale, the labels are scaled as if it was 10 also
i go to the tab with my 60scale vport, its saying its at 1=10 horiz, the vport is at 60, both annnotation and scale, the labels are scaled as if it was 10 also
yep locked, i didn't regen, all i did was switch to paper from model
occasionally the items will be the correct size, but the title is still based on the model space annotation scale setting
Is this scale label possibly a field? Can you post the drawing?
@ Grandocadguy - You can have different vertical exagerations, you just need to create two different profile views, each one assigned a different style.
@ Roger - The titel information is a part of the profile view style and will plot at whatever height is shown in the style. Different viewports at different scales, the text will plot the same. In the top viewport, the scale is 1:100. In the bottom profile view, it's 1:40. Two different profile views but they are using the same style.
