    Default CIVIL 3D

my situation is this. I need a program that can calculate pressure and flow at any given point in a piping network.
whether it is a water system with elevated towers and hydro pneumatic tanks or sewer force mains with lift stations.
My question is can civil 3d do this?

Would like to hear from people who have used civil 3d in this capacity. we currently use a 3rd party software program that is non-graphic and antiquated (dos based).
and now the program will no longer run on any of our computers since upgrading operating systems. so we are searching for an alternative, something we can integrate
our existing cad drawings into knowing we will have to populate the data.

What is the name of the DOS based program?

DOS is still available,, google FreeDos, and you can run it in a virtual machine. If you use VirtualBox, both that and FreeDS are free applications

@Opie, hydronet. we have also considered sewercad and watercad by Bentley, but like the idea of staying with an Autodesk product.

@cadtag, thought of that, but we would really like to go towards a more complete solution, one that can be graphic and interactive with the data.

Check the Autodesk Labs for "Project Dalton". That might be suitable. As a Labs project it isn't in production but the more people who express an interest in it the more likely it will proceed to a production status.
