Default annotative text in older versions of CAD

I've been using annotative text but have been instructed not to because older versions of CAD in the office cannot see it.
I use autocad architecture 2008 and the other version is autocad Lt 2004

is there a simple way to get around this issue or do i really need to stop using annotative text?

    thanks

Default Re: annotative text in older versions of CAD

We ran into the same problem in my office, plus older versions could not edit the text without exploding the leaders.

For the visibility problem I turned on "Annotation Visibility" before saving down.

Never solved the editing problem as we no longer use annotative text or leaders and won't be as some clients still run release 12 and 14.
