    Default Window Schedule Detail Links

    Hello,

Can I dynamically link the Head Detail, Jamb Detail and Sill Detail in my Window Schedule to the actual details? It seems really odd that this isn't an easy option.

We're on 2009 because it's an older project and we can't upgrade yet even though it's sitting on my shelf waiting.

    Thanks.

Can I do this with a Reference Other View method? How?

The Head, Jamb, Sill details need to exhist as separate details so they can be referenced. I'm not sure what you mean by "dynamically, but you can get these into the schedule. Either these need to be shared parameters set up as a type, with a different window type for each combination of head, jamb, sill details (not recommended) Or look into using a Key schedule for this type of use. A key schedule lets you set up some nomenclature, such as wood window in brick veneer, and then you can assign the head/jamb/sill detail numbers to it. Then, in each window in the schedule, you simply select the "desription" that fits that window.
