running database!

hi to All::

I am new to this forum. I had heard that if I create Titleblock database in excel file with drawingname, design by, Drawn by, etc. with dates and scales. Then if run the database it automatically updates the Autocad Plot files without having to change anything manually like changing the dates or names. Is there a way to do it. Please help.
