    Default Importing Arch Models

Is there a way Revit can Globaly override the Visibility/Graphics when you import the architectural model. When we se up our sheets we like to see some of the arch model such as walls, stairs and windows and as thin and light as we can possibly make it. It seems every time I create a new view or section I need to change the graphics each time.

I could do that but the lines that are designated as heavy or medium still print out thick. What I want is to make the Arch. model lines as thin and light as possible. But in order to do that I have to override the settings in every single view and section.

Once you have your view properties the way you like it. Create a view template from view. Then you can just apply that template to any new views you create

I've also found it to be useful to set up "dummy" links in my project template with linked view settings the way that I like. When a project starts, I can just "browse" to replace my dummy link with the correct one and my settings are all in place. takes some doing to get set but once it's done it's very easy.

Thanks, madyb. I like the View Template idea. I will give that a try. I think that's exactly what I'm looking for.

What we did was to open the Arch model and changed the line weights to thin lines. Obviously this doesn’t work if the Arch is working the model but in our case it was not an in-house Arch model.
