Lights still on even when using Sun only and/or turned off

I have an exterior scene in which I am using Sun Only or Sun and Artificial Light but have turned off all Lights, yet the rendering still seems to show light at the source. Refer to attached images. Why is this, and is there any way to control this? Am I missing something or not setting something up properly? The lights in the interior office spaces, especially should not be appearing so brightly white. I am using the Troffer Lights delivered with Revit, which I would have presumed would be properly setup for these conditions.

The diffuser material of the OOTB Revit diffuser light has a self-illumination property that will give it the appearance of being on even if you turn off lights or use Sun only render setting. Create a duplicate material with no self-illumination and use that material for the diffuser when you want them to appear off.

Great, thanks. I figured it was something like that.

I was just hoping Adesk would have thought ahead a bit while creating these families and added such a material and a corresponding parameter to more easily control this OOTB.
