    Default Missing Dictionary

When I try to edit a text, or run the spell check, it gives me the message:
"unable to find main dictionary. Could not start speller"
Does that mean the dictionary file has been moved? Where do I find it?

Dictionary files have the extension .dct and should be in the acad \support folder.
British English is eng.dct and eng2.dct whilst American English is enu.dct and enu2.dct.

The xxx2.dct files did not exist in versions prior to A2008 (or maybe A2009).

    Thanks you!!!
The SUPPORT FILE was under: C:/Program Files/AutoCad Map 3D 2010/WebServices/Support........
    I copied the Support file to: C:/Program Files/AutoCad Map 3D 2010/
and now it's working.... my problem with the "draworder" command also has been solved!!!

    Glad it's fixed.
Someone probably dragged the \support folder by mistake - it's easily done.

Does a single custom dictionary seem like a good idea? I am thinking about making one custom office dictionary for all the "engineering" words, but I'm concerned about adding words to a controlled access file. I may have a daily list of words to add to the dictionary myself.
On the other hand, we then have better control of spelling on our drawings, and more confidence in using the spell checker. I had a user who hasn't had a working spell checker for over a year, before she finally said something to me!

If your people can't spell but are prepared to use a spell check - do make it easy for them.

Well, easy for them, but I get to put in the words It's a controlled access drive. Iguess it shouldn't be too difficult, I mean how many new vendors can I add in a day? And how often will the engineers invent words like "transmogrification" ?
