Default could not set system variable cvport

Any time I add duct or an mvpart in 2010 I get this error when I exit the command. It appears that the progam needs to cycle through the viewports when you exit the command and if any viewports are not visible on the screen you get this error, once per viewport.

This gets annoying when you are working on a tab with 5 or more viewports and you need to hit esc and wait 5 times each time you add a duct, couple this with the fact duct snaps are not separate from osnaps so you need to leave the add duct command each time you need to pull a duct from a diffuser.

I asked if I could get my old autocad back but they said no so if anyone can help me get rid of this cvport error I will be deeply indebted to you!

    thanks!

I prefer working on the sheet tabs. I thought someone might have an easy fix, but I guess not. It might seem like a small thing, but it's on a very, very long list of small things that are really frustrating me about 2010.

And just saying, "Work from the Model tab?", well you might as well not say anything at all because that is no help. Obviously I know that it won't cycle through the sheet tab viewports on the model tab... but the sheet tabs are there, they are a great tool and I want to continue using them. Stop making excuses for a flawed program.

I too prefer to work from the layouts.

I'm not a programmer for Autodesk, so how can I be "making excuses for a flawed program"? Nowhere in your initial post did you state that working from Model was not an option.

So don't take your frustrations out on me.
