    Default Electrical Panel Schedule

I am trying to help out the electrical guys here at my office.

I am a little confused with Panel Schedules. Is there a default panel schedule in Revit MEP? If so how do I find it?

    Or

Do I have to build a Panel Schedule from many schedules? I have read "default panel schedule" and I have read that we have to create the panel schedule from more than one schedule.

    Which is true?

    Thanks

You can create panel reports (otherwise known as panel schedules) with a click of the mouse. These are not the typical schedule you are used to creating. First, select the panel, then hit the button on the options bar (RME 2009) to generate a report.

However, the "report" will not show everything you want to show, so you will end up creating electrical equipment schedules to get all the info you would want in a single panel schedule.

    Thanks

I have found the panel report, (simple click of the button as you say)

Is there a way to export it out into excell? I have found on the web that it can't be done but I am wondering some savy person has found a way.

    Thanks

What we ended up doing was copy/paste into excel from the panel schedule revit generates. We design a VBA macro to reorganize all of revits loads and descriptions into the proper locations in the company excel panel schedule. We send the excel schedule to Autocad and print from there.

It's a lot of work no matter what way you approach it.
