Default Trouble Attaching Steel Column to Concrete Column Below

I'm currently working on a project where I have steel columns sitting on top of concrete columns, or piers. Is there a way to attach the bottom of the steel to the top of the concrete? Currently, Revit doesn't seem to recognize if both columns are stacked in the same location.

Columns can not attatch to the top or bottom of other columns like they can for slabs and beams. What you could do is create a level for the bottom of the steel columns and top of the concrete columns. Then set the top offset of the concrete columns to this level and the bottom offset of the steel columns to it as well.
