    Default AMEP 2010 XREF Problem

    Hi Guys,

New to the forum, wondered if anyone could help out with an MEP issue we are currently experiencing.

We had a similar problem with ACAD 2010 but it was resolved by installing the latest 'Service Pack 1' update on the Autodesk Site.

When we try and insert Xrefs into MEP it flags up an error message

    IMAGEATTACH - Invalid File

The Problem can be caused by several things:-

-The data in the file is corrupt
-The file is an earlier format and no longer supported
-The file format is not supported

Our other offices that use the same software and systems that we use have not experienced the same problems which is strange. I have tried a repair and a complete uninstall to see if this rectifies the problem. Unfortunately this has not resolved the issue.

Additionally I wondered if anyone knew how to get MEP to return to the 'classic look workspace'

You are probably going to need to wait for the update for AutoCAD MEP 2010 to resolve the image attach issue.

It is strange that your other offices are not seeing the issue. I guess they dodged the bullet.

On the other issue, since MEP's CUI file does not have menus or toolbars defined, you are going to have some serious reinventing of the wheel to do to try to get a classic look.
