Angry Pipe Fitting Symbol That Scales With View But Not PipeSIZE

Thats what im trying to achieve, but i will be buggered if i can figure it out.
tried model lines, symbolic lines(grouped as well) embedded anno, detail components...
tried embedding everything in gen models and then embedding in fitting family.
    tried combinations of model/symbolic lines...nada..
too many problems to document here.
seems that you cant have your cake and eat it too.

    ....erm....help...anyone?

    bout ready to give up...

Tell me if you like the taste of this cake. Works about as well as Revit allows currently. The tick marks adjust well for a 45 or 90 degree fitting.

We use a generic annotation family nested into the pipe fitting. We have been able to use this method for most common fittings (tees, endcap, cross, elbow).

yeah we did the same thing.
only problem is if you go to a section or elevation and draw the pipe going up or down the gen anno doesnt show.

spinning my wheels, im normally structural but am helping MEP side setup Revit.
    whole different world over here.

every method has its drawbacks, at some point they will have to choose the lesser of ten evils.

    thanks for the upload.

Fout - Did you find a method that you were comfortable with? I typically work in Arch, but am now trying to help out the MEP side of things and see that it is completely different too. Any advice is appreciated.
