    Default Phantom Boxes in blocks

    Help

    I have drawings created in 2008 AutoCAD that I am opening in AutoCAD MEP 2010.

    But the blocks have these "Phantom Squares" around them but if I open Block Editor those squares are not there. If I delete the square it delete's the entire block.

    Screen shot attached.

    Any ideas?

    Thx;

    Yes possibly, they don't plot.

    Why would they have frames around the blocks?

    They wouldn't be nodes in the blocks would they?

    Well.. I'm working in 2006, and I tried converting this (TruConvert) to 2004 file format, and I get an error. What format does 2010 produce? I know of 2004 and 2007, is there a higher one?

    I posted something similar to this problem when we went to 2010 back in the spring. We found out that the frame setting to 0 will get rid of the phantom squares most of the times.
    Its Possible the patch autodesk released may fix the problem, have yet to install it to see.

    Yeah I'm on 2010 withe the latest Service Pack.

    Only problem with setting Frame to 0 is it turns off the XCLIP Frames as well and I use them a bunch.

    I can turn them off but it also turns off the XCLIP Frames... any ideas on how not to have to do that? Or where these came from?

    Thanks
