Default Array angle driven nested family?

I'm trying to create a line based brick dental coarse. I wanted to learn from it whilst making it flexible and fully parametric.

I have nested a brick and linked the parameters to my type. I have a ref line driving the angle. After having struggled to maintain contrainsts, I also have the angle parameter driving the brick. Brick offset also played up so I drove a ref line locked at 90 degrees to the angled ref line and aligned the brick to that. I have calculated the brick spacing according to angle and brick depth. However, when I array the brick the angle parameter breaks the family. Any ideas?

Just had a thought. If someone can confirm before I do it:

Should I be driving the angle inside the brick family (or intermediate nest) and then arraying? That would also solve trying to snap the second array to the brick spacing.

Arraying things parametrically around angles/arcs takes a couple of levels of nested families. Do a search for "Radial Array" and youll find a sample Line Based Detail Component that Dave Baldicchino posted. You can deconstruct it from there...

I can't open the family on his post. It crashes Revit! If you can open it, can you re-save it and post it here?

Here´s Dave Baldacchino´s family, but now in RAC2010 format...

Thanks for that, it works nicely. Don't know why I couldn't open the original.

Wow, this family certainly has a few nests! I'll try to break it down for my purposes. I'll let you know how I get on
