    Default Layer Properties Manager

    Anyone have a problem that Layer Properties Manager crashes or errors out if you leave it open do some cadding and then return to it to access it?

    I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2010 Service pack/patch/what ever it's called now - 1.

    I'm still using the traditional layer dialog. There's a system variable for that... LayerDlgMode?

    Good idea, I'll have to remember that one.

    i just like the newer features of instant on and off for the layers and some of that stuff, but in a pinch Classic saves your butt

    Thanks as well RobertB, it gets me out of my problem as well.
    Why the layer manager is complaining about truetype font's is beyond me...

    The problem was with the system font, as soon as i changed it, it was all good.

    the only constant I have found is that it will error after i minimise a window (usually internet explorer) that was over the Layer Properties manager. after that the image of the internet explorer is visible where the layer list should be.
    The layer drop down list and all commands (make layer current, match properties, etc.) still work, I just cannot work through the manager (change layer properties, utilise layer filters, etc.)
