Default I wish to have the ability to hide elements in all views.

Summary: I wish to have the ability to hide elements in all views.

Description: I wish to have the ability to hide elements in all views.

How Used: Specifically I've been creating new levels (not creating associated plan views), but only want to show in one view. Currently, the new level annotation is created in all views. I would like to be able to click on the level, and in addition to the other hide options, I would like an option to hide in all views, or hide in all views except current view. This could also be applicable if you have multiple views open and need to hide an object or element and see how that effects multiple views, without the need to go into each view separately and hide the object.

This is great suggestion; for reasons he stated -hiding elevations that only need to appear in one view and hiding furniture, etc that only needs to appear in one view. This would help a lot.

This can easily be accomplished using view filters or object categories (probably for almost every circumstance) and those options are much more 'Revit-like' than element by element hiding. Anytime we can control things based on common properties (object category, type name, common parameter) you can achieve more consistent and predictable results.

Im with Dimitri but I guess if you werent "setup" (ie: view filters etc already in your template) then this could be useful as a starting point

You can always put it on its own workset and turn off "visible in all views" tick.

Regarding the original post about Levels, I believe you are using the wrong tool, you should be using the "spot elevation" tool
