Default better annotation control for pipe fittings.

the pipe drop/rise symbol will maintain annotation size(plot size 1/16") no matter the size of the pipe. it will also show that way no matter which direction the pipe is viewed from(elevation, section)
pipe fittings symbology if you use the Pipe fittings category for your model lines(OOTB)
the ticks will grow with the pipe size.

    why the double standard?

would like the symbol to be annotative to view but ticks not to resize with the pipe size and that symbol to be consistent from plan to elevation views.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but I think there is a setting in mechanical setting call "Pipe annotation size" which will set both pipe fitting, accessories and rise/drop symbol size.

put in a fitting and change the size of the pipe up and down and watch the ticks. i notice that the tick size for the elbow has a formula for the tick size. helps to get rid of that. now on to accessories which have a very similar problem.

if you embed a gen anno into the families it works for plan. but not for sections/elevations.

Works for any view parallel to the symbol. You may have to rotate the component on the pipe.
