    Angry Rebar: Area Reinforcement

When I sketch the area to be reinforced, then go to Area reinforcement properties, the 'Top Major Number of Lines', 'Top Minor Number of Lines', 'Bottom Major Number of Lines' & 'Bottom Minor Number of Lines' are greyed & unable to change the number of lines from 5?

How do you get to change the numbers of bars as for example, the steel is @300 crs over 5100mm so should be 17 bars?

    Thanks

    Matt,

The number of lines is grey because the layout rule is set to "maximum spacing" (this is automatic)

Once you set your bar spacing the number of bars shown in section will be correct.

If you would rather specify the number of bars (not the spacing) you need to change the layout rule from maximum spacing to fixed number.

    See the attached images.
