I tried to post this problem before, but I didnt really understand exaclty what the issue was until now. So, I am going to try another post that better describes my problem.
I am trying to print a 3D duct drawing in a plan view. The duct, structural, and architectural models are all drawn separately and xrefed into the sheet for printing. We print using an STB. I have the visual style set to "2D-Wireframe", and the Shade Plot set to "hidden".
The issue is with the Shade Plot being set to hidden. When I set the shade mode to "hidden" the xrefs print out by assigning the plot style of the layer that they are inserted on to the entire xref instead of printing with the plot styles used in the original drawing where the xref was created. This does not happen with any of the other shade plot settings, but I need to use the "hidden" setting to get the drawing to hide objects below and show duct intersections as dashed lines. Is there a way around this or a setting that can stop it from happening at all?
