Anyone help please. I have a cylinder extruded on a curved path which I need to taper just 3 degrees. When I try the taper commend I get the error, 'cannot taper selected surface'. I can't think of any other way to do it.

Hi, welcome to AUGI.
With the Extrude command, you can specify a path or a taper but not both.
Try using the Loft command (A2007 onwards) - you will have to calculate the circle sizes at midpoint of the path and at the destination. Use the curve for the path option just like when extruding.
Hi,
I'm grateful for your help. I was trying to taper the extruded cylinder on 2002, where the options are only height or path. When I moved the file to another computer using 2008 I found that the extrude command gave more options including both taper and path. Job done.
Thanks again for trying to help.
