Default Void by Multiple Planes? (Or join to Solid)

    Hi kids.

I have a series of (5) planes that were created by lofting lines pulled from a .DWG/.DGN reference. These planes create a U-like shape that I need to cut out of a mass. I suspect that the issue lies in each plane being seperate... perhaps their is some magic I'm missing, but I see a few solutions, none of which I know how to do.

1 - Join all (5) planes into one complex folding surface.
2 - Create the three missing faces (front, top, bottom) and somehow create a sold (void) form.
3 - Post to AUGI, keep fingers crossed. (Okay, so I've got this one down).

    Attachments:
01 - 'U' like planes (each is a separate object), set as 'void' objects.
02 - 'Solid' mass and planes, no apparent interaction.

For reference, the solid was created before the void-planes.

    Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks!

Create a loft shaped void by creating 3 or more profiles from the U shape. The top and bottom profile can be created by tracing between the end points of lines. The mid profiles can be created by adding new references planes between de top and bottom profiles.

    Thanks!

For some reason I'd dismissed lofting as I wasn't sure how Revit interpolates between curves. But so long as I use the end- and mid- points as defining lines, and so long as the lofted solid maintains these profiles, I guess it really doesn't matter.

Something about over-thinking a solution. I forget how it goes...
