    Default Corridor Top Surface Question

    Hi,
I am having some trouble with my top surface following the top of my corridor. For 90% of the sections it is doing it correctly and looking like shown in the Corridor_Question attachment (redline is my top surface).

For some reason the top surface is not following the top of the corridor in 10% of the other sections.. see attachment Corridor_Question2.

    Thanks for any help.

Are you using the LinkVertical subassembly?

If so, this thread might be useful:

No I wasn't using a linkvertical subassembly. My subassembly is a pavement section with a shoulder next to it that is moved down by 1.5" as the FAA like to see a 1.5" drop off from edge of pavement to the turf shoulder....

Anyway, I was just adjusting my pavement thicknesses and it magically fixed itself. THe surface is matching the top of the corridor assembly for all sections now.

    Thanks for the help.

If it reappears, you may need to leave a small gap (such as .002') between your pavement and your turf subassemblies. If those points are right on top of each other, you can run into that problem where surfaces are not resolved the way you expect. If necessary, you can use LinkVertical (or LinkMulti, if LinkVertical doesn't work) to get that gap.

That section looks kind of funny, though... You really have turf going right up to the edge of the taxiway, with no 25' asphalt or concrete shoulder?

Yep... its only for a GA airport with aircraft weights less than 30,000lbs.

Thanks again I am looking into Vertical Links, which I had previously not used.
