Default Local File Incompatible with Central File - Revit 2010 Error??

    Hello all,

I've been using Revit 2010 for months now on Windows Vista with no problems. However, we recently updated to Windows 7, and ever since I receive the following error message when I try to save my local file (see attached for actual error message):

"The file you are attempting to synchornize with the central file is not compatible with the central file. This could be due to an upgrade to a newer version of Revit or because the central file was substituted with an unrelated file using the same name. You must create a new local file and copy/paste any changes made to your original local file into the new file"

I've already created a new local file from my Revit 2010 central file, and the problem persists.

    Any ideas?

Another update as I continue to try and debug the problem.

I just tried create a new central file by "Save as - Create New Central File" and got the error message of "File not saved".

That's it. No other information other than it won't let me save a central file either. I checked and it is recognizing my license, so there isn't an issue there.

Any other ideas that could help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Solved my problem. It was a network error on our end. Nothing wrong with the program or installation.

False alarm. Thanks anyway to anyone who may have spent time checking it out.

We are using the Novell Network Client, and I believe that the new version was incompatible with Revit 2010's network licensing. So my IT staff I believe had to downgrade the version to get it to recognize the license server.

That's as far as my understanding goes. Hope this helps.
