    Default Map Insert VS FDO

Why is it when I use the FDO connect, the image comes in at the correct location, but when I use map insert it does not. How can I get map insert to work correctly since FDO tends to shift things in paper space?

Default Re: Map Insert VS FDO

Most likely the image isn't in the same coordinate system as the drawing. FDO automatically does translation between coordinate system. Map insert for images, not so much.

Might be an easier way, but I create a new drawing that's set to the same coordinate system as the image. Map insert the image and save it. Then in the drawing I'm working in, I query the drawing with the image. Map then places the image into the correct location.
