Default Automatically Setting the UCS within Defined Areas

I am currently working off of a 2D architectural AutoCAD drawing. The column grid for the project is not a perpendicular grid. Some areas of the building are rotated. I set up keyboard shortcuts for rotating my USC about the Z axis for when I have to draw/dimension in these areas. However, is there any way to define which areas of the drawing are rotated so that when I hover my tool-tip within those limits my UCS automatically rotates about the z axis?

    Nope sorry, no such luck.

A workaround would be to use PS View Ports. You could make some View Ports in Paper space, then change the UCS there. Zoom to the area in question & lock the viewport. You could even issue the PLAN command inside the viewport prior to zooming, so that the view is oriented to match the UCS. Then you can do your editing through the viewport. You can have several viewports with different UCS's. As long as they're locked you can easily zoom/pan as expected. Just ensure that UCSFOLLOW=0 otherwise all the VP's will change if you enter one.

Thank you for your time; I will give that a try.
