Sheet Set description

Hello all, I hope you can provide some advice on this. We are in the process of creating a manual for our CAD department and need to include a description of what a sheet set is and does. I know Autodesk has some "standard" ways of describing it, but I was hoping to get an opinion from a more "real life" perspective. If anyone wants to jot down some suggestions in here I would appreciate the tips.

Introduction and Purpose of SSM
In the past we used complicated file and layout names and numerous file folders to organize drawings and keep current drawings at-hand. Finding and plotting the latest set of drawings for a given project could turn into an expedition in file management and endless navigation through the various folders of a project.

With the advent of AutoCAD SSM those days are over.

Now you need only find the appropriate SSM file and the latest set of project drawings are only one more click away. Want a set of plots of the Sanitary plans only? Right-click and publish the latest Sanitary Sewer Set.

My advice is a bit simpler. Save yourself some time and struggle by pulling the information you are looking for out of Heidi Hewett's "Sheets Happen" document.

I even put a link in my CAD Standards Manual to that document as well as a couple other good ones along the same line. Just be sure to give credit where credit is due when lifting another writer's stuff.
