    Exclamation Copper Tube

I am looking to route my first water system in Revit and noticed there are no fittings for copper tube. Are there websites that offer these for free or am I SOL? Thanks!

No, you're not SOL. You just have to set up the various styles that you want. Expand the FAMILIES tree and scroll down to PIPES. Underneath PIPE TYPES you'll have to PVC and STANDARD as the two default types. Right-click on one, select DUPLICATE and rename it to COPPER (or whatever material you want). Then right-click on the COPPER pipe type and select PROPERTIES. From the MATERIAL drop-down select copper. Change any other values you want.

You'll have to do the same thing for the fittings as well. But if you do this in your template you only have to do it once and it'll be available to any job from that point forward. Also, you can transfer project standards between files.

    Hope this helps!
