    Default Trouble opening in 2010

    I'm trying to open a Revit file from the Architect and I'm getting an initial screen that tells me to close Revit and then all hidden windows. Don't I need to have Revit open to close hidden windows? And when I go to view->windows the "close hidden" is ghosted and not clickable.

    Here is the full list of instructions I get when I open the Revit file.

    To properly save, close and exit Revit
    1. Close Hidden Windows
    (go to the VIEW ribbon, select Close Hidden)
    2. Go to COLLABORATE ribbon -> Synchronize with Central
    -> Synchronize and Modify Settings
    3. Click OK
    5. Click the red "X" in the upper right corner of your screen

    The problems I'm having here are
    1. can't close hidden windows
    2. don't see "Synchronize and Modify Settings"
    3. this I can do
    5. I never get a "red X"

    Are you using "Detach from Central" option prior to opening?
