This might not be the correct forum for this if not I apologize. I have recently begun implimenting revit for my company and when working on my template I encounters a very annoying problem. There does not seem to be any way of making the bounding lines of walls display differently that walls of another type.
Let me explain... My company specializes in clean room construction and we create something we call an airwall. Airwalls don't go all the way to the floor instead they are supported by adjacent walls. the opening leads to a return plenum. It essentially functions like a low wall return grill only there is no grill. In plan my company standard is to show airwalls as a dashed line. Now I can create the airwall wall type, but it displays just like any other wall. I can change the line type with the linework tool, but if I have a couple hundred airwalls, and have to change them all it could take a long time. In autoCAD you simply define the line type in the wall style and your good to go.
I have also tried using openings to form these but as the opening is only 14" high and below the cut plain the walls do not display differently in plan at all.
So is there a way to get all walls of the same type to display with a line type that is different from walls of other types? Basically can I make an airwall wall type and tell revit to display the wall with dashed lines automatically?
Thanks in advance
