How is toll space mapping my Template subdirectory?

Just noticed this and its pretty cool. I want to know how this works so when we update to 2018.

It must be using the folder path set for templates under 'options'. I've been starting most of my drawings from there since 2006.

How can I copy the object settings in another all ready setup drawing from my template object settings?
The Manage - Import Style Settings only does the style defaults not the object settings....

Yes, according to the documentation, only certain settings are imported.
