Default Dimension with the word "clear" underneath

Is there a way to do that in Revit?

To put the word "Clear" underneath the 4'-0" dimension (like AutoCAD)?

Cool Re: Dimension with the word "clear" underneath

You can specify that in the dimension properties under "suffix".

    cheers.........

edit: actually, that won't place it "underneath"--just at the end.

That's what I thought too. But I couldn't find the suffix setting under the type properties of the dimension.

If you are using Revit 09 or later, you can simply click on the dimension value and that will bring up a dimension override dialogue. Here you can specify text to show above and below, prefix and suffix, and full override.

    OK, now I got it.

The trick is that you double click the value of the dimension itself. The dimension text dialog box will pop out. It's not the type properties of the dimension.

Thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate that.
