    Default VOID SPHERE

Hello everyone! I've got a 911 here. I am modeling a 1974 high rise, and it has a scalloped effect for its cornice top. After unsuccessfully trying to get a repsonse from Autodesk Subscription (boy am I mad) I'm looking here. Probably should have come here first. Basically, based on the photos attached, I tried creating a Solid Form, and then tried creating a VOID SPHERE, problem is I could not get the void sphere to cut away at the SOLID FORM. Please look at the pictures and someone let me know how they mght go about creating this shape. Its like a scallop or something!! Thank you.

What did you model the part at the top from? A roof? The void you create needs to be the same category as the part you are trying to cut. Then you need to use the Cut Geometry tool to tell the void to take a bite out of the other solid.
