    Question Strange alias issue

Has anyone else tried to set their OFFSET command to "OO" in the acad.pgp file, and been successful?

what I get is this: ; error: no function definition: DOS_GETPROGRESS

I have ACAD10, "O" is "OOPS", and I am just curious if anyone knows the background on this.

    Thanks!

Sounds like there is some lisp code defined for "OO", and that this code is calling a function in DOSLIB, which isn't loaded.

    Lisp always beats PGP defintions.

    (BTW: "OO" works fine here)

I get Offset when I type "O", but maybe that migrated from my older version.
I just added "OO" to my aliases and it worked fine.

My AutoCAD 2010 has O mapped to offset in ACAD.PGP.

You could aliasedit your O back to offset.

Do you mean AutoCAD 2010 or Release 10? (Gotta be careful with shortcuts... BwaHaHa!!!)

I recently did a short software update session for local offices and started with these slides.

Out of the 40 or so attendees, only 1 person had used R10 (it wasn't me, I started on R11).

I started on AutoCAD v2.5 (I think - it might have been an even earlier version). On a custom-built 8088 with a math coprocessor. But then, in CAD years, I'm about 150.

I started on 2.18, the first version with AutoLISP.
Although 2.5 was the version on which I really cut my teeth.
