Default Keynoting a linked or Imported AutoCAD File in Revit

Ok, I know this is a little odd, but is there any way to keynote a linked or Imported AutoCAD drawing in Revit? I am able to add text to label the AutoCAD drawing, but is there a way to use keynotes?

Cool Re: Keynoting a linked or Imported AutoCAD File in Revit

You can not keynote an imported or linked cad file.

Keynotes are made to be used with Revit families/content.
The keynote is generated via a keynote text file, which is specified in the
    properties of the family.

Note Blocks could be used to label/annotate a cad dwg imported into Revit--
but there will be no "intelligence" or automation like there is using Keynotes.

    cheers.......
