    Default Multileader User Block Colors

I have a detail bubble block that I am trying to attach to a multileader. The detail bubble has attribute definitions that are on different layers and are set to bylayer color. When I set the mleader type to Block and draw the leader, the attributes use the color of the layer that the leader is on, not the color of the layer that they're on in the block. How do I maintain my original block colors and still have the flexibility to change attribute colors simply by changing layer colors?

interesting.... If you are on subscription, please submit it. it looks like a rather nasty bug. Line work in the block stays with the bylayer, but the attribs take on leader color.

One workaround would be to use TTF fonts for your detail bubble text -- since they do not care what color they are, just what size they are to plot legibly.

This is sorta lame, and the TrueType workaround doesn't help if you're actually using colors for colors. For my item number block, I need a red leader, a red container, and black text. I guess it's back to the dynamic block with manual polar-stretch leader line.

It’s simple ready all you need to do is just change the text colour from 'bylayer' to the colour you wish to use in the attribute. For example the text at the top you require it to be magenta change the colour to magenta and do the same for the text below (See attached updated dwg).

    Hope this helps.

Well would you look at that! MLeader doesn't respect layer colors, but it does respect object colors. It's a little messy, but it does provide a perfectly workable answer.

    Thanks for the tip, Spenner!

Does anyone else have problems with custom blocks used in mleaders? I only get a handful of the blocks I've created, show up in the available user defined blocks list for mleaders...
Is there something special I'm forgetting about these blocks?

One thing is that they may not be annotative blocks. The leader style may be annotative, but not the block.

Another possibility is that only blocks with attributes could be displayed, but here I'm just guessing.
